OpenMat
Free training time. Drill, roll, or work your own game with the room.
Open mat is the heart of the academy — a gathering of people united by a shared appetite for growth. Practitioners of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, and anything else in the room meet in a collaborative environment that crosses style.
This is not a taught class. You choose the work: drill a technique, clean up transitions, or roll. That autonomy asks you to set your own goals and go find the knowledge that will move you forward.
Beginners can learn from more experienced people in a non-judgmental setting. Advanced students get to mentor, which deepens their own understanding. The exchange is what makes Bendu a place to belong, not just a place to train.
If you are preparing for competition, open mat is a chance to test strategies against a wide range of styles and get honest feedback. If you are not — it is still the best hour of the week to work on your game.
